What is Mission Possible?
Mission Possible is our "mission trip" into this community. It is our hope that through this ministry, we can seek out those that are lost, weary and burdened by this world. We hope that by meeting some physical needs we can also share Jesus, who can meet their spiritual needs.
During this week we have many families who take off work and camp out at our building. We share breakfast and dinner daily. We have devotionals and times of story telling. And each day we go out as teams, into the community to help our neighbors.
Jobs may include: roof repair, painting, cleaning, repairing drywall, landscaping and more.
And there's always time for visitation, prayer and Bible study.
The children of our workers, up to 5th grade, stay at the building with caregivers and perform acts of service. Sorry, but we are not able to care for children of anyone other than our workers.
We need helpers as well as workers. If you can join us for the entire week, great. But even a day or two is helpful. Jobs include answering the phone, baking cookies for the "visitation team" to take with them, Bible study, cleaning, kitchen duty, etc. Each of these "behind the scene" jobs is an invaluable part of the success of this week.
